The new hemp will be offered in a botanically dyed color palette in the near future.
No more sticky labels on the pull skeins. The tags and packaging will all be both sustainable & biodegradable using cellulose packaging and yarn tags made from a combination of 100% PCW Paper fiber & hemp.
We have been knitting with the hemp in preparation for its arrival and it is wonderful to knit with. We are so happy that we can now start getting creative by designing cool patterns to come.
The remaining dyed yarn is low impact. Though these dyes are not natural they are far superior to conventional dyes that hurt the earth & waterways by the residual runoff left after the dye process is finished.
This yarn is Vegan. The botanical dyes will be a much better eco substitute.
Hemp is great for knitting bags, belts, jewelry, tops & more and is perfect for beading with our large selection of recycled glass & tagua beads.
Hemp yarn softens with washing over time and has a nice subtle sheen.
There will be other weights available in the future.
