Description

Eco Shawl Pin Embellishment

A mix of Vintage/Antique Gemstones, Vintage/Antique/Recycled Sterling Silver, Tagua & Recycled Glass Bead embellishment (pictured on the Primitive Heart & Goddess above) is an addition to any of the 13 designs. You can choose the gemstones that you love, for their natural properties or to symbolize your birthstone or zodiac sign. What a cool personal gift it would make for what ever shawl pin you purchase.

We will have information about each stones properties as well as the corresponding birthstone lists.

The Primitive Heart Embellishment, for example, is made up of Sterling Silver, Natural Tagua, Faceted Garnet, Free Form Rock Crystal Quartz, Round Onyx & Ruby Red Recycled Glass.

The Goddess Embellishment, for example, is made up of Sterling Silver, Natural Tagua, Turquoise Nugget, Free Form Green Tourmaline, Faceted Rock Crystal Quartz & Sea Glass Green Recycled Glass.

Each beautiful shawl pin will vary due to the nature of handmade items, the wood used and the wide range of embellishment options. Unlike the standard shawl pins each one will be truly unique.

The reason we only offer vintage/antique gemstone & sterling silver beads, coupled with the recycled glass & tagua, is because mining does a great deal of damage to the environment. Why mine more of something like a gem or sterling for a pretty adornment when there is so much available in recycled, vintage & antique form? That makes this offering even more special in so many important & meaningful ways.

The gemstone options are available above with countless combinations to choose from. Some of the gemstone beads are very hard to find in vintage/antique form, but we have most of them. We have Amethyst, all the the way to Turquoise. Some are faceted, some are nuggets, etc.. We are on the look out for emerald and sapphire. They will be added if we ever come across the right size and vintage nature. We can say in no uncertain terms that we will never have a vintage rough diamond bead, but I guess you never really know. : )
